Message From Dr. Scott Reeves

The Department of Anesthesia's “can-do” mentality along with all that our beautiful city has to offer creates a wonderful environment in which to train, work and live.

Didactics & Simulation Training

In addition to hands-on learning with patient care, fellows supplement their education with a mix of online and in-person didactics. We have a monthly online curriculum to guide our fellows' education, covering all topics tested in the ABA CCM Board Examination. Our fellows receive in-person education from our faculty on management of cardiogenic shock, septic shock, ventilator management, and much more! Once a week, all critical care fellows (Anesthesia, Pulm, Surgical, Neuro) join for a multidisciplinary lecture. In addition, MUSC has a campus-wide Critical Care Grand Rounds series to allow for discourse and sharing of ideas between all Critical Care specialties.

Key Highlights:

  • Weekly Multi-Disciplinary Fellow Lectures
  • ECMO & MCS Bootcamp
  • LVAD Training
  • Case-Based Discussions
  • ECMO Conference
  • Campus-Wide Critical Care Grand Rounds
  • Weekly Surgical M&M Conference
  • Online Guided Curriculum
