The NIH T32 Training Grant in the MUSC Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery ("Interdisciplinary Research Training in Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences") supports three medical students for short-term research training in research areas related to otolaryngology and related sciences (hearing, balance, voice, speech, language, taste, smell), including head and neck cancer. These three funded positions include a stipend at the NIH-designated rate, as well as funds for supplies and travel to scientific meetings to present research findings. Mentors (or co-mentors) should be faculty with research programs in the T32 focus areas, and may or may not be faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology.  Click on the link below for a PDF file listing our research opportunities.
